NFCN – NFL Scouts Discussion

Four NFL scouts sized up the NFC North Division in interviews this week with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Bob McGinn. Here are excerpts:

CHICAGO

“There’s nothing (coach) John Fox hasn’t seen. He’s one of the good guys in our business. He’s not what he once was but he’s got a good young offensive coordinator (Adam Gase), who will be a head coach some day, and Vic Fangio is a strong defensive coordinator.”

DETROIT

“The problem with (Haloti) Ngata and that age (31), he will have good games where he flashes but maintaining that for a whole season, I just don’t see that happening.

GREEN BAY

“Jordy Nelson hurts. He’s a glue guy, both as a receiver and as a guy you love having around. But they still have (Randall) Cobb, I think Davante Adams is a guy on the rise

MINNESOTA

“Norv Turner has always had production. He’s one of the top offensive coordinators for the past decade and a half. I think of what he can do with Adrian Peterson.” … “(T.J.) Clemmings had a medical issue that dropped him. He’s got length. He’s held up OK. But a rookie playing (right tackle), there will be some growing pains there.

Among my career highlights I have produced two films while in high school that received nationwide attention; leaned out of a helicopter over the Gulf of Suez at the age of 20 to shoot movies of oil rigs; won an Emmy award for a sports special and another for a kid's fitness show; and led a team of very talented creative professionals to produce break-through corporate communications.
