MARSAW: There has been so many missed draft picks it’s hard to say. Are we talking from the Angelo/Emery era or from the Pace regime? If it’s from any of them then it would have to be Rex Grossman. Whenever you draft a quarterback and you hit on him it can change your franchise overnight and it can cover a lot of other misses in the draft and warts on the roster (See Green Bay)

screen-shot-2016-10-07-at-11-14-27-amMARSAW: I was a big Cameron Meredith fan in 2015. He’s still really learning the nuances of becoming an NFL wide receiver. He played a lot of quarterback in college. Was hoping that the game at Kansas City versus the Chiefs in 2015 was going to be a coming out party for  Meredith. He made some very tough grabs, but wasn’t heard from much after that game. I absolutely believe Meredith can have an impact moving forward. With Kevin White going down again, Meredith gets to prove his worth with all the additional reps he’s about to receive. All we can ask of him is to improve every game and show that he belongs.

MARSAW: The odds of that? I have no idea. Hopefully low. That’s not Brian Hoyer’s game. Hopefully the Bears stay committed to their run game and stay committed to Jordan Howard. Brian Hoyer needs to concentrate on getting the ball out quickly and relying on his WR/TE/RB to make plays for him. If the Bears head to Indianapolis with the intent of having Brian Hoyer throw deep frequently then the entire offensive coaching staff should be relieved of their duties immediately. Get rid of the ball quickly, protect the football, and rely on your defense and running game. That should be the Bears gameplan. Don’t see why it matters how many throws over 20yds in the air he has.

MARSAW: I picture Massie and Webb just staring at each other and talking about how they’re gonna kill the other one. 20 minutes later they’re still talking and nothing happens. I’ll say it’s a draw due to ineptness. Loggains has youth on his side when it comes down to him versus Martz. Martz never believed in protecting the QB, so why would he protect himself. Loggains is the size of a poodle so I expect him to inflict a massive amount of damage to Martz’s ankles. Two Pesos vs. Doc. Cotto vs. Ottochian. Hofstra vs. Chico’s bail bonds. What a pillow fight that would be! I picture Jose in his corner slamming back tacos to prepare and Phil in a Jay Cutler jersey having applying evaporated milk to his hamstrings so he doesn’t pull up lame. The fight would never actually start because Phil is still talking to reporters and talking…and talking…and talking, and Jose gets deported.

Thanks for the questions this week everyone. Let’s get behind this young team and get another victory in Indy. Confidence is key with a young team. Let’s GO!
